Product Description

These Hoops draw inspiration from "Tatreez" - the traditional Palestinian art of cross-stitch embroidery.

"Tatreez" is the art of cross-stitch embroidery which originated in Palestine more than five centuries ago. Passed down from mothers to daughters like cherished family recipes, Tatreez has become a cultural legacy. The art serves as a form of identity and heritage, intricately woven into the fabric of a woman's dress (thoub). Each pattern is unique to its region, allowing a woman's roots and history to be discerned through her attire.

The patterns are often geometric in their nature, but can also hold symbols such as trees, flowers and feathers, depicting stories of the women and their land.

Metal: Sterling Silver, 18K Gold Plated
Width: 3.2mm
